What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Bluemoon website and the free tools published on it. They are an agreement between you and Bluemoon, operated from Switzerland. Use of the Bluemoon product, meaning the workspace customers sign in to, is governed by the customer agreement accepted at registration; a summary is further down this page.
The free tools
The free tools, such as the AI visibility report and the crawler access check, read public signals from a domain you enter at the moment you run them and show what they found. They are provided free of charge and as they are.
- Results are observations at one point in time. A readiness score describes what an engine can fetch and understand; it is not a measurement of how often a brand appears in AI answers and not a promise about future visibility.
- You may run the tools on domains you own or manage, or in which you have a legitimate interest, such as a competitor you are evaluating from public information. Do not use them to scan domains at scale, to probe systems you have no relationship with, or to build a dataset for resale.
- Use is rate-limited. We may change, limit or withdraw a tool at any time without notice.
Acceptable use of the website
Do not interfere with the website, attempt to gain access to systems or data that are not yours, scrape the site at a rate that burdens it, or use it to send unsolicited messages. Security research is welcome within the rules on the security page.
Content and trademarks
The text, design, illustrations and code of this website belong to Bluemoon or its licensors. You may quote short passages from our articles with attribution and a link. Product screens on this website show fictional data and are illustrations, not records. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google and the other names of answer engines are trademarks of their owners; Bluemoon is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
No warranty
The website and the free tools are provided as they are and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether about accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent Swiss law allows. We publish how our measurements are made and where they stop on the methodology page; that page is part of how any number we show should be read.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Bluemoon is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data arising from the use of this website or the free tools. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
The product, in summary
The full terms for the Bluemoon product are in the customer agreement accepted at registration, which prevails over this summary. In outline:
- Subscription: self-serve plans are billed monthly through Stripe, in Swiss francs, euros or US dollars depending on your billing country. Plan changes apply immediately and are prorated. Self-serve plans start with a seven-day free trial: the card is collected when the trial starts and charged only when it ends, unless you cancel before. Enterprise and Government plans are contracted separately and billed yearly.
- Your Anthropic key: Claude answers are collected through Anthropic’s API with a key you supply. You pay Anthropic directly for that usage; Bluemoon never bills it.
- Acceptable use: track questions about markets and brands you have a legitimate interest in. Do not use the product to harass, to misrepresent a competitor, or to circumvent an engine’s terms. You are responsible for the questions you choose to track and for the people you invite to your workspace.
- Data: what we collect and why, and how to have it deleted, is described in the privacy policy and on the security page.
- Availability: we work to keep the product available and collecting every day, and we describe engine-side limits openly on the methodology page. Service levels, where agreed, are set in Enterprise contracts.
- Ending a subscription: cancel from Billing at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Stored answers are deleted on request.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts at Bluemoon’s registered seat in Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law that gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes to the customer agreement are notified to workspace admins in advance.
